Pres. Olusegun Obasanjo met with all the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in Lagos State yesterday at Dodan Baracks, Obalende. The President, in his address to the DPO’s urged them to ensure that his Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) wins in their areas of jurisdiction.
Pres. Obasanjo also met with some miscreants, commonly referred to ‘area boys.’ The meeting, which also held at Dodan Barracks, was attended by the leadership of the area boys. According to sources at the meeting, the President enjoined the area boys to do whatever it took to win Lagos State for PDP. “The President said to us that nothing will happen even if violence erupts in Lagos State. He said that Abiola died and nothing happened and therefore nothing will happen if anybody dies in the process,” said our source.
Elendureports.com can confirm that Gov. Bola Tinubu’s aides who were summoned to Abuja by the Inspector General of Police, Sunday Ehindero, are yet to return to Lagos. According to a source at the personal residence of Gov. Bola Tinubu the men are not expected in Lagos until after elections. “We know they will not come back until after elections…I fear they may be under detention,” the source said. |
