The minor cabinet reshuffle announced by President Goodluck Jonathan, on Wednesday, which led to the drafting of erstwhile Minister of State for Finance, Remi Babalola to Special Duties may not have gone down well with the ex-banker as he alleged to be plotting a resignation from the Federal Executive Cabinet soon, elendureports has gathered.

Two financial “whiz kids” were today arraigned before Justice Olukayode Adeniyi of an Abuja High Court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly defrauding the Attorney General of the Federation; Mr. Mohammed Adoke (SAN), Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives; Hon Usman Bayero Nafada and two other members of the House of Representatives of Four Hundred and Four million Naira under the guise of investing the money in stocks of banks and telecommunication companies.

Proficiency test: Oronsanye floors civil servants

A federal high court in Abuja presided by Justice David Okorowo today have struck out a motion filed by Association of Civil Servants of Nigeria seeking to void the competency and pre-qualification tests conducted for senior federal Civil Servants in the country by the Head of Service which they claimed did not follow due process.

7 dead, 30 trapped in Abuja collapsed building

Residents of Abuja, the Federal Capital City were woken up early this morning by news of a collapsed 3 story building within the residential section of Area 11, Garki and by 8 am, 7 dead bodies had been retrieved from the rubbles of the collapsed building.
