 Prof. Dora Akunyili The ovation for the four Nigerian journalists recently freed from dare devil kidnappers in Abia State seems not to have completely died down as the Federal Government on Tuesday, offered to foot an all-expense paid weekend relaxation in any of the five star hotels within the country for each of the victims.

 Hon. Dimeji Bankole Suspended House of Representatives members who dragged the Speaker; Hon. Dimeji Bankole, and the clerk of the House before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja this morning suffered yet another setback in their bid to get the House to rescind the decision to suspend them as the judge presiding over the matter opted to disqualify himself from hearing the suit on an alleged bias.

Ohakim Martin Agbaso, the candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the April 14, 2007 election lost the battle to regain his stolen mandate this morning at the Supreme Court by 4-1. Gov. Ohakim and Sen. Ifeanyi Ararume had appealed the Appeal Court ruling which found merit in Agbaso’s petition to the Supreme Court. |
