Mrs Deborah Oshatimehin, the newly appointed Chairman of the Kogi State Universal Education Board (SUBEB), said she would work hard to ensure basic education for all children of school age in the state.
Oshatimehin told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lokoja on Friday that her commitment would be to see that the basic education programme in the state was restructured.
She, therefore, promised to work hard and put more emphasis on the improvement of the primary education sector in the state.
She said that every child of school-going age would have access to basic education in the state, assuring that none of them would be left out.
Oshatimehin also said that the present administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello was committed to getting to the bottom of the lingering problems of basic education in the state.
She urged all her staff members to develop a positive mental attitude to work and set goals for themselves.
